I am officially 6 months pregnant and its a crazy and exciting feeling! 😄 I will have another update post up soon about how we are doing at preparing, recent doctors appointments, and due dates but that’s not the focus for this post. I learned an important and interesting fact recently that literally stopped me in my tracks and I feel like I need to talk about it.

Even at 6 months along, I am still having to do my daily shot. 💉 Today will be shot #390 actually. If you know anything about me, you know how much I absolutely hate shots and that I have complained about them numerous times over the years. Every night I cringe when the alarm on my phone goes off at 8:30 to remind me its time to stab myself once again. I started counting them in the beginning with a “look what this ridiculous infertility nonsense is making me do” attitude and never dreamed I would be about to cross my count into the 400’s.

My love/hate relationship with May 15th

Yes, yes I know.. I was supposed to put up this post like a week ago. 🤪 In my defense, I have had TONS of adulting to do! Also, if this was posted last week, it would have been written with sad words and powered by my stream of tears. No one wants to read that and I for sure didn’t want to write it. So instead, I have chosen to wait until today to explain this current saga of nonsense with IVF/infertility. Why today you ask?? Because today was supposed to be our transfer day. 😢 May 15th. In my mind, this was the perfect day because not only was it finally happening but its the day before Cliffs birthday and that made us happy. Soooooo once again, what happened??

Well I survived and can honestly say surgery #4 was my best surgery! Along with the one ginormous fibroid, my doc ended up finding and taking out 2 smaller ones as well. Yes you read that correctly.. yours truly will be having her 4th surgery next week. ∗sigh∗ I’m still in a little bit of disbelief right now. But how did we get to this point? Lets go back and start the story from right after retrieval day..

There is no easy way to start this one so I’m just going to jump right in.. after healing from the 3rd surgery, we have had 5 months of trying to get prego with fertility treatments. All unsuccessful.. obviously.. So we have now officially jumped on the IVF bandwagon. Our doctor is getting concerned that if we wait too much longer, my fibroids will start coming back in a way that will prevent pregnancy and the last thing I want to do is have surgery #4.
