You know how when you are trying to complete a project it always seems to take longer than you anticipated?? IVF can easily be added to that for me. When we made the decision to do IVF last December, I never expected our first go at this would take 5 months… But we are finally getting somewhere!! We are still crawling the whole way but getting there none the less!

I have recovered from my 4th surgery just fine and had a fantastic post op check up. My doctor was so so SO happy with how everything looked after the surgery which made me feel awesome. So now that we have all the surgery nonsense out of the way and my uterus is “baby ready” (as my doctor called it), what are we doing now?? Continue Reading

Well I survived and can honestly say surgery #4 was my best surgery! Along with the one ginormous fibroid, my doc ended up finding and taking out 2 smaller ones as well. Surgery #4 here I come..

Yes you read that correctly.. yours truly will be having her 4th surgery next week. ∗sigh∗ I’m still in a little bit of disbelief right now. But how did we get to this point? Lets go back and start the story from right after retrieval day..

Eggs and Special Men

I have wanted to post an IVF update but decided to wait until I had a bunch to fill y’all in on.. Well its finally time and I have LOTS of pictures hooray! Remember that pic I posted on social media a little while ago when all of my IVF meds arrived?? In case you missed it, here it is again..

One of those is just a bag of needles… A BAG OF NEEDLES PEOPLE! As someone who hates needles, I have seen that bag show up in my nightmares numerous times. Anyways.. The first thing our doc needed for this IVF journey to baby Litherland was a sample of Cliff’s special men and a bunch of eggs from me. It’s My Money!

I know what you are thinking.. its been forever! Where have you been?!? Well.. the last time I went MIA it was because Cliff was home and spending time with him is always the top of my priority list (I’m still #sorrynotsorry about that btw 😎 ). This time I can only partially blame my blogging absence on him. He’s been home but I just haven’t slowed down long enough to post an update. Lets play a little catch up..

Quick IVF update.. Due to my body not cooperating in January (shocking, I know 🙄 ), we had to put IVF on hold for about a month. Luckily, everything is going fine this month so we have started over with all of the IVF prep. I am back on meds and those daily shots that I complain about all the time. Today is shot #89. Crazy right?? I guess I should use these to mentally prepare for the week of fertility shots where I get like 3-4 injections daily. For now, I am still working on just breathing through my one per day. Side note –> my shot strategy consists of reminding myself to not hold my breath and repeating “do you want to have a baby?” over and over in efforts to finish the whole shot and not give up. I think its working pretty good so far!
